This article presents the development of a mathematical model of the rectification process and proposes an automated functional-technological scheme for effective process control. During the research, the heat and mass transfer processes occurring in the rectification column were analyzed, and their mathematical expressions were derived. Based on the developed model, the factors affecting the main process parameters were identified and their interrelationships were studied. In addition, a functional-technological scheme for designing an automated control system was developed, in which measurement, monitoring, and control devices were integrated. The proposed approach makes it possible to improve the stability of the rectification process, reduce energy consumption, and enhance product quality
