lung cancer, pulmonary tuberculosis, differential diagnosisAbstract
The similarity of the clinical and radiological picture of lung cancer and tuberculosis leads to frequent diagnostic errors. The work systematizes data on the mechanisms of their combined course, including the malignancy of scar tissue and reactivation of latent infection during chemotherapy. The limited specificity of PET-CT in granulomatous inflammation justifies the use of GeneXpert and EBUS-TBNA for verification. The prospects for increasing accuracy are linked to interdisciplinary protocols, CT radiomyography, and the search for biomarkers using liquid biopsy methods.
